I've sort of gotten used to it working with them over the past decade. And yes, all of this should be far more visible than it is, Untangle has always been terrible at communicating. But you'll still be able to run your subscriptions out to expiration even then. We have upgraded Xfce 4.16, X11, Samba and other system fundamentals, including non-UEFI and secure boot systems. Which is to say, renewals after an as yet unannounced future date won't be possible. There is a catch however, Untangle has said on their forums that HomePro will be forcibly retired at some point. I have customers that are on pricing we haven't seen in literally a decade doing this. Untangle has never forcibly ended any of their subscriptions. So if you keep renewing it, you'll be in device unlimited status until the subscription ends. You can renew it! But, you cannot replace it. Which is fine, but if that's the case why can't we resellers sell the darned things? so that's presumably one of the reasons why Home Protect, and Home Protect Plus have them. I don't think Untangle wanted or ever managed to get their enforcement to work without a device limit. Sometimes they do run afoul of the enforcement though, and you have to open a ticket with Support to get it fixed. The old Home, and HomePro subscriptions both report a device limit, but they don't really have them.
